CMPE Golf Day at Druids Heath – A Fantastic Day on the Fairways.
Our golf day took place last Thursday (17th September 2026) at the beautiful Druids Heath Golf Club in Aldridge, near Sutton Coldfield — and it proved to be another superb event enjoyed
by members, guests, and friends of CMPE.
We gathered at 12:30 in the welcoming clubhouse for soup and sandwiches before heading out onto the course. At 2pm, three fourballs teed off for 18 holes of golf in breezy but pleasant conditions, making for an enjoyable afternoon of friendly competition.
The Teams:
Vic Spillard and Dave White of Spillards Safety Systems teamed up with Paul Rushton and Carl Falconer.
Bruce Cheyne played alongside his guests Colin Sutton and Melvin Wilton — with Melvin later becoming our winning guest.
Gerry Ray and Roy Poole, well-known Caterpillar men, partnered with Ben Rhodes of Stokey Plant and Glen Jackson, who keeps plant equipment across the region fully glazed.
